French National Day Celebrations 18-7-2019

The French national day celebrations were held on 18th july in the college premises with the Vice Principal Fr.Vinay kumar as the chief guest. Industry Connect Programme 11-7-2019

The fresher’s orientation day on 2nd July in the college auditorium by Mrs. P A L N S Kalyani as the lead speaker . was not only refreshing but also compelling. The students enjoyed the session thoroughly. ANNUAL DAY CELEBRATIONS 30th April, 2019

ANNUAL DAY CELEBRATIONS 30th April, 2019 St. Mary's Centenary Degree College celebrated their College Annual Day on Tuesday 30th April, 2019. The celebrations began with our beloved principal Rev. Fr. Allam Arogya Reddy welcoming the chief guest Rev. Msgr. Swarna Bernard- Vice-Chairman of HAES and the Guest of Honour for the day Mr. Bala Reddy- the chairman and managing director of M/S. ICSA and M/S. Cura Technologies. Prizes were given away to the academic toppers followed by the winners of various co-curricular and cultural activities. All the dignitaries exhorted the students to pursue excellence and to never give up on their dreams. The top awards for the day were the gold medals instituted for each of the B.Com courses and BBA, which witnessed three girls walk away with all the honours. Category. ASHTAADASHA - an Inter-college academic fest : 04 April, 2019

ASHTAADASHA - an Inter-college academic fest St. Mary’s Centenary Degree College had celebrated their Academic Fest titled “ASHTAADASHA” on Thursday 4th April, 2019. The day began with an inaugural session, where the chief guest Rev. Father Dian Issac, Principal of St. Mary’s Junior College declared the Fest open to the public. This Fest witnessed enthusiastic participation not only from our own students but also from 198 students belonging to 20 different colleges spread across the twin cities. The language departments to commerce and management departments to IT department had all conducted many competitions. Even, the fashion show and the cultural competitions venue was flooded with contestants. The food stalls were busy doling out delicacies throughout the day. The valedictory function witnessed the giving away of prizes to all the winners by the principal Rev. Father Allam Arogya Reddy who also gave a very short but powerful message to the audience. "IT Quiz: 7th March, 2019 "

IT Quiz conducted by "CYBER CREW" (Computer Science Department) The IT quiz this year was conducted in a unique format. The quiz was hosted by the II & III years for the Ist years using the digital technology. Our Principal Rev.Fr. Allam Arogya Reddy and few other faculties were also present to grace the occasion. There were 100 students in all representing I years and the quiz is with the following Rounds : Screening Test , Questionaire round , Gaming round and final round for top 4 students Questionaire round. ETHNIC DAY CELEBRATIONS @ SMCDC ON 23rd February, 2019 The ethnic day on 23rd Feb was celebrated with full gusto and spirit . The theme was ‘ unity in diversity’ and the students were divided into twelve groups and provided with a sub-theme of an indian state such as Meghalaya, Punjab, Orissa, Bihar etc. The students put in their best performances by displaying the history, culture, region, food, dance, clothing specific to these states. A PEACE RALLY WAS ORGANIZED BY COLLEGE ON 22nd FEB, 2019

A PEACE rally was organized by the students, management and staff of SMCDC on Friday 22, 2019, where more than 1200 students and about 40 plus faculty members had participated in full fervor to show solidarity with the CRPF Jawans. The rally was initiated to acknowledge and honour the sacrifices made by our brave warriors who laid down their lives to keep us safe. Our principal Rev. Fr. Allam Arogya Reddy whole-heartedly supported the initiative and our Asst. Principal Mrs. Bhagya Lakshmi actively participated in the rally, which was an expression of our support for our soldiers.

Alumni Meet–A trip down the memory lane: 16th February 2019

Alumni Meet on 16th FEb: The day began with Formal registrations by our ex-students who belonged to batches from 2009 to 2018. The event at the auditorium began with a prayer song and dance by our current students who swayed to a medley of Bollywood songs. Apart from our Asst. Principal Mrs. Bhagyalakshmi and Mr. Tulasi Ram, many our ex-students too expressed their joy at this reunion and appreciated the college management for its efforts in organzing the event. Rev. Fr. Allam Arogya Reddy – the principal exhorted the alumni to continue to give back to the society in small ways and make a difference. In all, it was a memorable events and people departed asking for more.

 

ISKCON Kukatpally conducted MASSIVE CANCER AWARENESS CAMPAIGN “5K MARATHON” ON 3rd FEB 2019

ISKCON Kukatpally conducted MASSIVE CANCER AWARENESS CAMPAIGN “5K MARATHON” ON 3rd FEB 2019 Cancer is the second largest cause of death in India and USA. according to National Institute of Cancer prevention and Research. ISKCON Kukatpally conducted a massive cancer awareness campaign throughout the sate of Telabgana supported by Telangana State Council of Higher Education, Ministry Of Education on 3rd February, 2019 in the morning from 7AM -9AM at Necklace Road.55 students from our college were participated in the event and received participation certificate.

 

                                                                       

                                                                       

Archbishop’s Yearly Visit to our College : 24th January, 2019

His Grace Most Rev. Thumma Bala, The Archbishop of Hyderabad and the Chairman of H.A.E.S had visited our college on 24th January, 2019. The program began with a welcome dance and Scripture reading and this was followed by students of the current year and the alumni articulating their experiences at college. Not wanting to be left behind, even the parents took to stage to express their opinion about the college. The message for students by His Grace stressed the need for Character formation and preparing oneself for future challenges, while the message for staff focussed on the need for language expertise and relationship management.
