Freshers' Day is a special occasion in any college, marked by a warm welcome to the new batch of students. It is a day filled with excitement, enthusiasm, and camaraderie as the senior students and faculty come together to make the newcomers feel at home. The Freshers' Day celebrations at St. Mary's were no exception, as they turned out to be a memorable event for both the freshers and the existing students. St. Mary's Centenary Degree College celebrated BIENVENIDO-2K23, Freshers Day on 27-09-2023. Rev. Fr. Santhosh and Mr. Nixon Cruz, a famous Tollywood Choreographer are the chief guests for the event. Students participated with great energy levels and entertained audience. The event started with a series of captivating cultural performances by the senior students. These included dance performances, musical renditions that not only showcased the talent of the students but also set the tone for the day. Principal, Rev. Fr. Anthony Vinay welcomed the freshers with encouraging words. They emphasized the importance of college life, the pursuit of knowledge, and the diverse opportunities that awaited the newcomers. A highlight of the event was the Mr. and Miss Fresher contest. Freshers enthusiastically participated in this competition, showcasing their talent, confidence, and style. Winners were selected based on a combination of talent, personality, and audience applause. It was a day filled with joy, laughter, and the promise of a bright future. The event not only served as an icebreaker but also laid the foundation for lasting friendships and memorable college experiences.
